Privacy Policy

Effective 8 September 2026. This policy explains what chipotle-nutrition-calculator.us collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: the site has no accounts, stores nothing you type, and keeps your calculator choices inside your own browser.

The short version

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the website at chipotle-nutrition-calculator.us and nothing else. The site is an independent nutrition reference run by a small editorial team; the about page explains who we are and where the data comes from. It is not affiliated with Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., so it does not cover anything you do on chipotle.com or in Chipotle's app.

2. Information the site processes

The site is static. Pages are generated in advance and served by Cloudflare, so there is no database of visitors and no login. Like any web server, our host records requests, including your IP address, user agent string, referring page, the pages you load and the time of the request. These logs exist for security and for counting traffic in aggregate. We do not combine them with other data, we do not use them to identify individuals, and they are retained only as long as our host keeps them.

3. Your calculator choices stay in your browser

When you build a meal, the selections live in your browser's memory for as long as the page is open. If you use the Share link button, your selections are encoded into the link itself, in the part after the # symbol, which browsers never send to a server. Copying a share link therefore does not transmit your build to us or to anyone else until you choose to send that link to someone. We do not store, transmit or analyse what you build.

4. Cookies and advertising

The site may display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure ad performance. This site sets no first party cookies of its own.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Third party vendors may also be opted out through optout.aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before advertising cookies are set, and the choice made there is respected on later visits.

5. Local storage

The site does not currently write to your browser's local storage. If a future version remembers a preference such as your last meal type, that value will stay in your browser, will never reach our server, and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser settings.

6. Analytics

Where analytics are used they are the aggregate, privacy focused kind provided by our hosting platform, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking individuals across sites. If a cookie based analytics tool is ever added, this policy will be updated before it goes live.

7. Contact form and email

The contact form on the contact page opens your own email application with the message prefilled. Nothing is submitted to our server and no draft is stored on the site. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer them or to act on a correction, then deleted.

8. Third party links

Pages link to chipotle.com, Wikipedia and other external sites, and the nutrition PDF is served from this domain. External sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover. Follow those links at your own discretion.

9. Children

The site is a general audience nutrition reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and it will be deleted.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data, to object to processing, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We hold almost none of it, so the practical route is to email hello@chipotle-nutrition-calculator.us with your request and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information.

11. Data location and security

The site is served from a global content delivery network over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted. Because no personal data is collected by the site itself, there is no visitor database to breach.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated policy. Material changes to how advertising works on the site will be reflected here before they take effect.
